Questions

What families ask us

Something else on your mind? Call us at 770-832-2771.

How long does it take to get a monument?

It takes time to create a marker, especially with a special inscription or other lettering, and then additional time for shipping. Ask us for specifics on yours, but on average you can estimate 8 to 10 weeks.

Do I need an appointment to visit the office?

Not Monday to Friday. You are welcome to come in, or to make an appointment if you prefer. To meet with us on a Saturday, we do need to make an appointment.

What does a memorial cost?

Costs vary with the materials used and the type of marker. Contact us with the specifics and we will give you the most accurate price we can.

What is the difference between polishes?

Granite memorials come in three polishes. Polish 2: the front and back of an upright are smooth and the sides are rough. Polish 3: the front, back and top are smooth and the two sides are rough. Polish 5: the front, back and all the sides are polished.

Can I pre-order a marker?

Yes. Pre-ordering makes sure your wishes, or those of a loved one, are carried out, and it lightens the burden on children and family members later.

Can you add to an existing headstone or marker?

Yes. We add lettering and inscriptions to existing monuments and markers, including dates of passing.

How long should I wait before choosing a memorial?

That is completely up to you. The right time is when you feel comfortable discussing your ideas and able to make a confident decision.

What if I live out of town?

We work with many families who live out of town. Some choose their memorial through the website, others visit the office. We keep in touch by phone, email or mail, whichever you prefer, and send you a picture once your memorial is placed in the cemetery.

Can you ship a monument to another state?

Yes. We have shipped monuments as far west as Colorado and as far north as New Jersey, and we work with memorial companies and cemeteries all over the U.S.

How do I know I am making the right decision?

A memorial is a major purchase and deserves careful thought. Our staff will guide you through designing it, and you will see drawings of your memorial, with a chance to make any changes, before any work is approved.
