Our heritage
In 1948 Walter Rodin opened a small monument shop on Quarry Road with one sandblaster and a borrowed truck. He lettered every stone himself and delivered it the same week, and families started asking for him by name.
His son added the showroom and the cutting saw. His granddaughter Anna runs the company today with her two sons, and every stone still leaves through the same shop door.
We design, cut, letter and set our own work. The person who sits with you in the showroom is the person who answers for the stone, years from now.

“They never rushed us. We changed the wording twice and nobody so much as sighed. The stone is beautiful.”
“Designing it online first made all the difference. The proof came back in four days, exactly what Dad would have wanted.”
“Their crew set the stone on a Tuesday and sent us a photo that night. I still have it on my phone.”

Most monuments are set 8 to 12 weeks after you approve the proof. Granite is cut to order, and cemeteries only allow setting when the ground is firm, so winter orders are set in spring.
Most do. We keep the rules for every cemetery in the county on file and check your design against them before anything is cut.
Cemeteries require a concrete foundation under every monument. Some pour it themselves and bill for it; at the rest our crew pours it. Your quote shows which applies.
